The Kalibo Ati-Atihan Products Expo 2012 is being held on 09-16 January at the Pastrana Park, Kalibo. The activity is part of the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Festival. It is a joint project of the Department of Trade and Industry-Aklan, the Hugod Aklanon Pro-ducers Association, Inc., and the Municipal Government of Kalibo through the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Foundation, Inc. (KASAFI).

The Products Expo 2012 is a marketing activity aimed at promoting Aklan’s unique and commercially viable local crafts, thus expanding market opportunities for our micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). There are 28 Aklanon entrepreneurs participating in the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Products Expo this year.

The newly developed abaca & piña wearables featured during the Philippine Fashion Week and unique collection of gifts, housewares and furnishings made of handmade paper, bariw, nito, bamboo & wood are highlighted. Aklan’s famous agri-aqua processed foods are also available for sale together with other tourism oriented products and services.

This marketing event held annually at the Pastrana Park is one of the main features of the Kalibo ati-atihan festival celebrations. /MP
